A recipe that brings back memories of the June festival and the smell of fresh corn cooking in the kitchen.
Ingredients
- 6 ears of green corn
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 pinch of salt
- Corn husks for wrapping
Preparation method:
Carefully remove the husks and set aside the prettiest ones to assemble the pamonhas.
Remove the kernels from the ears with a knife.
Blend the kernels in a blender with the milk until a cream forms.
Add the sugar and salt and mix well.
Make small bags with the husks and pour the cream inside.
Secure the pamonhas tightly with string.
Place the pamonhas in a large pot with boiling water.
Cook for about 40 to 50 minutes.
Carefully remove and serve while still hot.
