A simple, traditional candy full of emotional memories.


Ingredients

  1. 1 kg of peeled pumpkin in cubes
  2. 2 cups of sugar
  3. 100 g of grated coconut
  4. 4 cloves
  5. 1 cinnamon stick


Preparation method:

Place the pumpkin in a pot with the sugar, cloves, and cinnamon.

Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

The pumpkin will naturally release water and start to break down.

When it is soft, lightly mash it with a spoon.

Add the grated coconut and continue cooking until the candy thickens.

Remove the cloves and cinnamon before serving.

Serve cold or at room temperature.
