A classic dish that brings the true flavor of Minas Gerais cuisine.
Ingredients
- 1 kg of chicken in pieces
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 300 g of okra
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 chopped garlic cloves
- 2 chopped tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- Chopped parsley to taste
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Preparation method:
Season the chicken with lemon, garlic, salt, and pepper. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
Wash and dry the okra well. Cut into slices and sauté in a pan with a little oil until the slime decreases. Set aside.
In another pan, heat the oil and brown the chicken until well golden.
Add the onion and tomatoes and sauté until a sauce forms.
Add a little water and let it cook until the chicken is tender.
Add the reserved okra and cook for another 10 minutes.
Finish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
